MAGNUS LØVLIE

TENOR



Magnus Løvlie is a young Norwegian lyric tenor, currently studying at the Opera Academy in Copenhagen with Eva Hess Thaysen and Susanna Eken, and has been appointed to the Young Artist Programme at the Royal Danish Opera for the 2026–28 seasons.

Magnus made his debut at the Royal Danish Theatre as a Lehrbube (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg) in 2024, in Laurent Pelly’s production, and has recently appeared as Borsa in Rigoletto.

His operatic repertoire includes Don Ottavio, Ferrando and Tamino, alongside roles such as Phoebus (The Fairy Queen) and Torquemada (L’heure espagnole), with Fenton, Nemorino and Roméo (Roméo et Juliette) in preparation.

Equally active on the concert platform, he has performed extensively as Evangelist and tenor soloist in Bach’s major works, including the St John PassionSt Matthew Passion,  Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s Messiah, masses by Haydn and Schubert, Mozart’s Requiem as well as Mass in C minor. In April 2026, he made his debut with Tapiola Sinfonietta in Finland in Bach’s Mass in B minor under the direction of Peter Whelan.
